Hello and Goodbye, Candy mag! :( :p
So i finally had the guts to submit an essay to my all-time favorite mag- Candy. I’ve always wanted to be a part of Council of Cool. And tingin ko, isang way na ‘to para ma-experience ang AB dream ko :))
“Hi, Noelle. This is Marla from Candy Magazine. We’ve reviewed your Council of Cool entry and would like to invite you to a second screening on oct25, 5pm at Summit Media…. Bring paper and a pen. Please reply to confirm. Thanks!”
—Yes, pumasa ang essay ko! :)) In preparation for the second screening, i read the blogs of the past council of cool members and tried making some.
Come second screening…
Ayun. I froze. Literally. I was surprised that the first step was an interview. Akala ko naman sulat muna. The editors of Candy were there waiting for me. I got so nervous that i wasn’t able to answer properly all of the questions. Nautal ako, my gosh!
Lalong tumaas kaba ko para sa essay dahil sa interview na sobrang disaster. Na-feel ko na na wala na. It’s over.
The essay writing was more disastrous. We have to write an essay for 20 mins. Ang dali ng tanong. 3 of your favorite things. But my hand was shaking the whole time, plus i couldn’t think straight. I had no idea what to write.
—After the second screening, i went to the mall to meet my parents. I cried in the taxi :)) I was so frustrated with what just happened. First time kong mautal. And of all places na pwede akong mablangko, doon pa. Dad immediately gave me a hug and said “Next time na lang” and mom took me shopping. So, ayun. Okay na ako :))

*I was surprised with the office of Summit Media. Yung environment, basta. I don’t see myself working there. And parangarap ko magwork dun ha. So, ayun, pagpasok ko pa lang, nafeel ko na na hindi talaga ako para doon.
